entering the pleasure of the lord
 And the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days; and on the seventh day He called to Moses from the midst of the cloud. And to the eyes of the sons of Israel the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the mountain top.  Exodus 24: 16 & 17

As the Lord has issued an invitation for His family in Canada to gather together in Edmonton, Alberta this summer, we want to answer His invitation by waiting upon Him in a posture of prayer. We have been invited to listen for His instructions and allow the Holy Spirit to prepare us for this time together. Even our registration process for this gathering is being immersed in prayer by inviting each registrant to enter into a process of listening and obeying God through three steps; hearing God, listening for your assignment, and sowing into your destiny.

Like a loving Father, He is inviting us into a time together, with all the family both young and old, to enter into the "Pleasure of the Lord". The Lord has seen how His people have journeyed together in faithfulness and obedience over the past ten years and it has invoked His pleasure to be released upon His people.

1. We want to begin, even now, to allowing ourselves to enter into His pleasure and into the fire of His presence by going before Him in times of adoration and worship without a personal agenda. This will prepare us to come into the Edmonton gathering in the same posture. Begin to do this in your private times, with your families and in groups.

"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth." Psalm 48:1-2

2. Listen to the voice of God. God loves to speak to His children, He loves to share His secrets with the ones that He loves and to reveal the mysteries of His Kingdom. We believe that the Lord is speaking to His people individually and corporately. The Lord has invited us into listening and hearing His voice regarding our involvement in the "Consumed" Gathering. Practice listening to the Lord over the next few months to become intimately acquainted with His voice.

"...and the sheep hear his voice, and when he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. When he puts forth all of his own, he goes before them and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee because they do not know the voice of strangers."
John 10: 3-5

3. We feel that the Lord in the process of restoring and re-establishing righteous principles concerning finances in His people and His Church. We want to encourage each of you to begin to ask the Lord to restore and re-establish His righteous principles in the area of finance to you, your family and your ministries or businesses. One of the definitions of the word "consumed" in the dictionary is, "To squander money or time." God is inviting us to be consumed with His righteous truths and is removing the false consumptions that have brought devastation to His people for so long in the area of finances. He is jealous for the restoration of all that He has promised to His people.

"For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God." Deuteronomy 4:24

4. The Lord has been reminding us of the stories of His faithfulness throughout the past ten years. Through this our faith is continually renewed and our hearts are made glad. We invite you to enter into prayers of thanksgiving for His faithfulness in your life. Remind yourselves of the stories of His faithfulness and begin to tell them to those around you. Share them with the Lord and enter into His pleasure as you allow His faithfulness to surround you like a ring of fire. These stories are shut up within us and we feel as though they about to come forth with a fresh anointing upon them.

His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. Jeremiah 20:9

O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him. The Lord has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations. He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Psalm 98 : 1-3

5. As the Lord is inviting us into a gathering of worship, begin to mediate and pray Psalm 99,

"The Lord reigns, let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned above the cherubim, let the earth shake! The Lord is great in Zion, and He is exalted above all the peoples. Let them praise His great and awesome name; Holy is He.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called on His name; they called upon the Lord, and He answered them. He spoke them in the pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies, and the statute that He gave them. O Lord our God, You did answer them; You were a forgiving God to them, and yet an avenger of their evil deeds. Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His holy hill; For holy is the Lord our God."
