The Consumed gathering will be held at the Shaw Convention Centre, 9797 Jasper Avenue. Offering a spectacular view of Edmonton's river valley from the banks of the North Saskatchewan river, the award winning Shaw Conference Centre is situated in the heart of the City's vibrant downtown core.

when
The Consumed Gathering will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday August 24th and continue with three sessions per day (morning, afternoon and evening) until 11:00 p.m,. Saturday August 26th.

parking
Parking is available in Canada Place, which is across the street from the Convention Centre and connected through an underground pedway system. The parkade is accessed from the east side, along 97 Street. Parking rates are $14/day weekdays and $12/day weekends.

travel by air
The Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is served by most major North American and International Airlines.

For those arriving by air, airport shuttles are available. For more information please go to www.edmontonskyshuttle.com.

A taxi cab ride will cost about $30 one way and take about 30 minutes.

The airport is also serviced by all the major car rental companies.

Please note: the Low Level Bridge, a major artery into downtown Edmonton is closed for renovations during August. The alternate directions provided here are the easiest way to get to the Shaw for those unfamiliar with Edmonton.

from the airport
Turn north on Highway 2, heading into Edmonton. As the highway enters the city it becomes Gateway Boulevard. Continue north until you come to Saskatchewan drive and you have to turn right. Please note: both lanes turn right. You should be in the left lane. Immediately after turning right, stay in the two farthest left lanes as you come to the light. Turn left at this light, doing a 180 degree turn heading down the hill. When you get to the bottom (the Kinsmen Sports Arena will be directly in front of you), turn right and head over the 105 Street Bridge. Stay in the right lane and turn right at the first light, immediately after the bridge (the TELUS ball field is on your right. Follow the road as it curves. Continue through the next major intersection (98 Avenue) and follow the road up Bellamy Hill into the downtown. Stay in the right hand lane. As you come up the hill, you will pass the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza on your right, continue to the next set of lights (Jasper Avenue) and turn right. Go 4 blocks and you will see the Shaw Conference Centre on your right. Canada Place, with the underground parkade is directly across from the Shaw, on your left. To access the parkade, proceed to the lights at 97 Street, turn left - the parkade entrance is on your left.
